The 2017 Infiniti Q60 will be one of the premium sports cars of the year, no questions asked. The extremely high attention to detail is seen in every curve, every feature, and all three models, and will resemble much of the 2016 model, but with some slight enhancements. The wonderful thing about Infiniti engineering is that every year they seem to enhance the previous year’s model, and the 2017 model will be no exception to the rule.
2017 Infiniti Q60 Rumors Concept and Redesign
Information about the Q60 is sketchy, as the automaker has
not provided details – perhaps because it wishes to conceal the attributes of
the car. Even so, the Q60 will be influenced to a great deal by the Q50 sedan.
The two vehicles look very similar and in fact the Q60 is a coupe version of
the Q50 style. Its maker may also want to try a new approach with the all-new
2017 Infiniti Q60. The company has got a new president and it has also changed
its technique of renaming its cars. So, it is not surprising to learn that the
coupe, which has been redesigned, will be surprisingly different to the rest of
the automaker’s lineup. After the car premiers at the Detroit Auto Show, the
company is planning to take time to put the development version together. It is
reasonable to expect the company to announce the release date of the Q60 around
fall of 2015. However, if the company manages to release the car earlier than
that, then the car may be launched as a 2016 model.
The rear end of the 2017 Infiniti Q60 is very lovely and
similar to that of the S-Class Coupe. The cabin is expected to be very clean
and also fashionable. The profile is very swoopy and the car will certainly
give you the impression that it is not only very classy but also very muscular.
The front fenders and also the rear haunches in particular will make the car
look very muscular. It will also have a fixed roof that is made out of glass
and this gives the occupants a nice open-air feeling. The layout of the car
looks very much like that of the Q50 sedan though the materials are much better
and thin sports seats in particular will prove to be very comfortable.
2017 Infiniti Q60 Engine Specs
The new 2017 Infiniti Q60 runs on a 3.5 liter V6 cylinder
unit which is able to generate about 265 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque.
There is also an alternative engine configuration which features a plug-in
hybrid mechanism. This powertrain consists of a 2.5 liter supercharged inline-4
cylinder and a lithium-ion battery and a 15 kW electric motor. This second unit
is able to generate 250 horsepower and 243 pounds-feet of torque.
This auto also comes with the continuous variable mechanism
which relays power form the engine to the wheels. The main engine
configurations offer an EPA fuel economy of about 20/28 mpg city/highway respectively.
The hybrid version will have better fuel economy.
2017 Infiniti Q60 Release Date and Release Date
The 2017 Infiniti Q60 will be very like the concept car to
be unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. At present, it is not known when the
production model will be revealed though estimates are that the first units
should be released by fall of 2015. Of course, there is also likelihood that
the 2017 Infiniti Q60 may be introduced into the market by the beginning of
2016.
