Mercedes-Benz GL produced in three trim level: GL350, GL450 and GL550 and now it appears in another one, GL400. This is the right time for the company to apply some changes, update and to refresh within their car, as the current existing model was introduced 3 year ago. As we all know, it is a full-size SUV with seven seats, placed in 3 rows.
With the launch of this model, Mercedes-Benz competes with the Toyota Land Cruiser, Lexus LX, Audi Q7, Lincoln Navigator and Land Rover Range Rover. Besides changing its interior and exterior style, the new 2016 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class will also adding one more trim level toward the existing family.

EXTERIOR
To the external appearance Benz has made the extensive attention, will have a massive radiator grille with two chrome strips. The highest aspiration of Daimler engineers was to bring the dynamic lines to the SUV to avoid to be stereotyped large vehicle. In order to achieve this, is introduced wider and longer sliding sunroof with a lot of chrome details. :The front and rear LED lighting with automatic headlights; adaptive bi-xenon headlights; large air vents; bumpers in body color; automatic front and rear fog lights; heated mirrors.

INTERIOR
Inside, it is evident: premium leather seats; split-folding rear seatback; telescopic leather steering wheel; heated front seats; optional heated second row seats and steering wheel; power electric glass sunroof. Equipped with the latest technological devices: a 7-inch touchscreen; Mercedes COMAND electronics interface; HD and satellite radio; 13 or 14 speakers; Bluetooth wireless data link for hands-free phone; iPod interface; dual or three zone automatic climate control.

ENGINE
This full-size luxury SUV will be made with three petrol and two diesel engines. All engines with direct fuel
injection. Top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). Stopping at a speed of 62 mph is 115 feet (35 m).

4.7-liter V8 twin-turbo engine from 362 hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. Consumption will be 14/19/16 mpg.
Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph is achieved for 6.2 seconds.
4.7-liter V8 twin-turbo engine from 429 hp and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. Consumption will be 13/18/15
mpg. Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph is achieved for 5.4 seconds.
5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo engine from 550 hp and 560 lb-ft (759 Nm) of torque. Consumption will be at 13/17/14
mpg. Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph is achieved for 4.8 seconds.
3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine of 240 hp and 455 lb-ft (617 Nm) of torque. Consumption will be 19/26/22
mpg. Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph is achieved for 8.4 seconds.
The new 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine of 333 hp and 480 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. Combined fuel
consumption will be 25 mpg. Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph is achieved for 6.7 seconds. This engine will be built
on the new GL400. It is equipped with the ECO start/stop system.

RELEASE DATE AND PRICE
According to the info we received, beside the new GL400, the company may release the other models, yet we still don’t have clear and detail information for this. We can say 2015 will be very exciting year for the SUV market.The new 2016 Mercedes Benz GL-class will be slightly more expensive than its predecessor. The sale will be priced from $ 63,600 to $ 119,450.
